Teaching
"I approach teaching as an introduction to seeing our world anew. We learn best in an atmosphere of calmness and expansiveness so, we start by quieting the mind and centering our focus. From this calm and centered place, students become more receptive to what speaks to them and the skills necessary for the task require less effort."

The great haiku poet Matsuo Basho said, “Learn about a pine tree from a pine tree, and about a bamboo stalk from a bamboo stalk.”  It is through reverent observation that we know the world. Let's start there.

Janet often teaches workshops with her husband, Jungian psychologist and magician, Tom Verner.  Contact us for further information to set up a workshop for your organization or small group.

Testimonial

“You are such gentle, spacious teachers. I love my book that I made when we worked together during our dream retreat last Oct. I would never have thought I could make the book, engage in the process and then enjoy the outcome so much. But you guided me gently through it, with no negative judgments along the way, just support and constructive guidance. I have come to appreciate different teaching styles so much. I think compassion is a great teaching asset don't you? You have that in spades.”– Marie Rice, NYC, graduate of Bank Street College of Education
